I’ve had an accident! What do I do now?

We realize that this can be a frustrating time but we are here to help you through this process. The first thing you should do is contact the insurance company. They will gather all the details of the accident and give you a claim number. The next step will to be to get a written estimate. In most cases you are NOT required to gather 3 estimates. This is an unnecessary waste of your time. Check with the insurance company to see if they will send an adjuster to you, or if they have a *Direct Repair Shop (DRPS) in your area that can write an estimate for them. Once you have a copy of the written estimate you can set an appointment to bring your vehicle in for repairs to begin at the shop of your choice. The reason we set appointments for repair is so that we can minimize the down time for your vehicle. Most insurance companies will not pay for a rental car while the shop is waiting on parts to arrive. If this is not an issue for you then it’s possible to drop your vehicle off at any time.

Note: All insurance companies have different policies, check with your agent for instructions specific to your policy.

What about a rental car?

Be sure to ask your adjuster what type of rental coverage you have and who they recommend. The Enterprise in our area offers drop-off and pick-up at our location for your convenience. Always call the rental car company ahead of time to confirm your appointment.

What does a DRPS offer?

The Direct Repair Program offers a “one stop shop” method of getting your vehicle repaired. It simply means that we work directly with the insurance company by sending them an estimate, photos of your vehicle, reporting additional damage if any is found and giving you peace of mind by eliminating all the middle men that seem to become involved and bog down progress. The days of waiting for adjusters to come out and inspect or hours on the telephone trying to find out if someone is proceeding with your claim are eliminated. We handle all of that for you and get you back into your vehicle as quickly as possible.
